We are hiring NEMT Companion Drivers who are responsible for delivering transportation, companionship and assistance services, using a company vehicle, to our clients across the Phoenix metropolitan area. The NEMT Companion Driver will accompany wheelchair-bound clients as well as ambulatory clients to medical appointments (kidney dialysis, routine doctor visits, pharmacy or lab stops …) and social activities for senior living communities (grocery shopping, sports events, fishing …).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide transportation, companionship, and assistance services to older adults and patients using a company vehicle, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the journey
  • Assist clients getting in and out of the vehicle and, when needed, help with any personal items, such as accompanying them inside grocery stores or doctor appointments, or joining them in social activities like attending sports events or faith-based gatherings.
  • Deliver services with utmost safety and responsibility, operating the vehicle securely and employing safe moving techniques.
  • Take ownership of the cleanliness and maintenance of your assigned vehicle, ensuring a pleasant and hygienic environment for our clients.
  • In this position, you won’t just be a driver; you’ll be a trusted companion, a reliable source of support and comfort for our clients on their journey. Requirements:

  • Possess 3 years of driving experience.
  • Be at least 23 years of age.
  • Prior experience as a Caregiver, EMT, Nurse, or NEMT Driver is preferred.
  • Hold a valid United States driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Available shifts: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (36 hours) or Thursday, Friday, Saturday (30 hours)
  • Have genuine curiosity about people and business, coupled with a passion for helping older adults.
  • Demonstrate a strong teamwork mentality, building trustworthy and supportive working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Exhibit proficiency in using transportation management Driver Apps on smartphones and computers (a plus).
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
